About Me

Hello, my friends call me Michael.

I have moved to UK after graduating from Electronic Technical School in Radom, Poland. I've started my adventure with HTML around 8 years ago as a self-learner, getting my first position as Junior Dev year after.

Over last years, my work mostly scoped around HTML, but that does not mean I did not learn some cool tricks in other departments. In fact, I'm still expanding my knowledge in Javascript and React, with aim to become an expert in Back-End development. My HTML knowledge gives me confidence and motivation to learn more and become better developer, especially after recently recovering from life-threatening situation and surgery that followed it.

Please, enjoy your browse.

Newsletters

Those were always major part of my daily tasks. I was involved in some great projects displaying modern HTML features that would not normally work in limited email environment.

  • CSS optimised carousel working on all modern email platforms and mobile devices.
Content for non-webkit platforms has been added. Quite fiddly, yet very pleasing. No JavaScript!

  • Complex email with lots information that is chosen with help of Javascript for a user depending on his preferences. View >
  • Simple build with dynamic counter implemented with help of MovableInk. View >
  • Another simple email with one of the fiddliest of tables I've created, probably. I remember this project for being superbly stubborn to render properly on every tested client. Now it works, so I feel the need to prove it! View >
  • One of the longest emails I've done. All segments in this email were later used in CMS tool to quickly build emails in the office. View >
  • Conditional logic newsletter with few simple animations. Final email rendered only few blocks matching preferences of the recipient. This method is great for bigger campaigns, storing everything in one HTML file. View >

Websites

Privately and commercially, I happened to create several landing pages and websites as well. Unfortunately I couldn't share all of them, yet I found few projects that might deserve some recognition. I understand semantic differences between coding a website and a newsletter, reassuring correct code selection for intended task.

  • Beautiful landing page for Absolut designed with Bootrap, featuring their new product as a suggestion for several drinks. Website hosts parallax for sliding background and was meant to show location of chosen bar that sells listed drink. View >
  • Another example of great design. Very pleasing to browse Rafeallo project with suggestions of serving worlds sweetest treat. Fully responsive, thanks to Bootstrap. View >
  • Prototype of website for Splash Worldwide. Fully responsive and mobile friendly design. View >
  • Simple landing page for McSaatchi. It was meant to help choosing a Christmas gift by randomly picking it depending on selected relative. It's so old, it's optimised for older IE's too. View >

Animations and Banners

Few animations in both HTML5 and JS, just for show.

  • JS banner for Airbus. I like it's creative design of spinning propellers and dust raising when the plane is landing. View >
  • A very friendly animation of the day passing by over the sea. Simple, yet so pleasing. View >
  • Simple banner with fiddly coin animation. View >
  • Small program of gearing up your worrior. Chosen gear affects stats of your character in real time, along with calculating total cost and remains of your gold after purchase. All of this is achieved without JS. Amazing! View >
